Customs law and customs policy

AVE acts vis-à-vis policy-makers and customs administration to promote a clear structure and the most uniform possible interpretation and application of European customs law. Divergences in this respect currently occur not only between the individual EU Member States but also within Germany as a function of the competent main customs office. For the companies affected, this leads to legal uncertainty and an increased administrative effort. We work for practical customs procedures and an approach with the least possible bureaucracy.

We regularly and promptly inform our members about recent changes and new developments in customs law. As and when necessary, we support our members with specific problems and intervene vis-à-vis authorities or at the level of legislation.
